I'm a Computer Science (Hons) graduand specializing in AI, with all coursework and examinations completed and degree conferral pending (expected 2027). My honours thesis covers multimodal deep learning for real-time gesture recognition, from model design through edge deployment and robotics integration.

I also have six months of industry experience as a full-stack engineering intern, and two manuscripts under peer review at IEEE-affiliated conferences. I'm now building skills in RAG, agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen) and cloud MLOps, and I'm looking for AI/ML engineering opportunities.

Full-Stack Software Engineering Intern

CeylonX Corporation (Pvt) Ltd, Colombo | Aug 2025 – Feb 2026

Contributed to the full-stack rebuild of a production CRM system (React 19, Node.js/Express, MySQL).
Built JWT authentication with role-based access control, multi-step registration workflows, job/shift scheduling and payroll automation with tax calculations.
Integrated AWS Rekognition for face-recognition employee check-in; built reusable audit-logging and email templating systems.
Mentored 2 junior developers on code quality, consistency and best practices.
Joined client requirement sessions and led the final handover documentation.

Hand landmarks, Raspberry Pi and Gazebo simulation for the gesture recognition project

Multimodal Hand Gesture Recognition

Honours research project on multimodal gesture recognition, combining RGB image features with skeletal hand landmarks for real-time sign classification. Optimized for edge devices and integrated with ROS2 for gesture-based robot control in simulation. Manuscripts under peer review.

Architecture of the agent and RAG system: papers, ChromaDB, MCP server and Claude Desktop

Agent & RAG Systems for Research Q&A

Python, LangGraph, ChromaDB, MCP. An MCP server lets Claude Desktop search my own papers, backed by a 12-case eval suite with CI. Includes a LangGraph agent that decides when to search again, a parallel searcher/analyst/writer pipeline (1.21x faster), and a static vs live-web RAG comparison on 10 questions.

SmartDengue Alert

A cross-platform mobile app that predicts Dengue outbreaks in the Colombo district using machine learning and real-time weather data. Presented at the 4th Undergraduate Research Symposium 2024.

- As team leader, I guided the frontend (Flutter), backend (Node.js, MongoDB) and ML model (Python, Flask).

- Compared several machine learning models on historical weather and dengue case data to forecast outbreak risk.

- The app pulls live weather data, gets a prediction from the ML service, and shows users an early warning with preventive guidance.

- Related research is ongoing. Details will be shared after publication.

Task Management System

A web-based Task Management System built with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript featuring user authentication, role-based access, and task management.

Prolog Disease-Diagnosis-System

A simple expert system in Prolog for diagnosing common diseases based on symptoms.

Full-Stack E-Commerce Platform

A Bloomingdale's-style e-commerce site using Angular and Spring Boot with MySQL, featuring authentication, product browsing, and order management.

Exam Management System

C# Exam Management System for students to take exams, with admin controls for managing candidates, subjects, questions, and viewing results.
